BOON VAT 109
Boon Vat 109 is a geuze beer that is made of 90% lambic beer from one and the same barrel (foeder). This makes it possible to emphasize the characteristics that one specific barrel contains. Barrel 109 was first used for German beer in 1910, however from 1935 onward it served to store Cognac. In 2009 Brewery Boon bought the barrel for the aging of Lambic. The beer coming from Vat 109 has an easily recognizable woody taste reminiscent of sherry.
