/naname

/naname is a four-piece instrumental band formed in 2020, featuring a lineup of drums, bass, and two guitars.

Centered on complex and intricately constructed tight rhythm ensembles and a solid groove, they develop a sound that projects narrative within the spaces of post-rock and math rock. Without relying on words, their sound leaves room for each listener’s own interpretation, drawing them into a deep sense of immersion.

In September 2025, they released their first album, vespers. The music video for the track “theta” surpassed 50,000 views within approximately three months of its release, showing an exceptional reach for an instrumental band.

They have also performed at major Nagoya circuit festival “IMAIKE GO NOW,” “NO WORDS NEEDED,” which brings together notable instrumental bands from across Japan, and the pre-event of “OOPARTS,” hosted by cinema staff, steadily gaining recognition and attention.
